American...Not From Denmark! I DO NOT WANT TO PAY FOR THIS FINE!
HELP!
I just got a fine on the M1 metro train for not having a ticket. I bought one, honestly, but must've misplaced it. I have plenty of other tickets to prove my character, that I am in fact a rule follower. But, this particular lady was not having it, she was not compassionate and didn't believe my scrambled American brain even when I showed her my other tickets.
I paid for the metro ticket using cash, so I had no bank statement to prove that I had bought it and when I got home I could not find it anywhere.
Anyway, she asked for my ID and I gave her my American driver's license and she took down my info.
What I am wondering is if that UPDATE section still applies to those who give the ticket person their information and are from out of town.
Anyone else who hasn't paid and isn't from Denmark, please comment below and let me know what you did and if you dodged the fine easily/successfully.

It's true that you don't need the passport to cross the borders but, you do need a passport to identify your self to a police officer if they ask you.
